'Girlfriends' Boutique And Bites' Returns To Benefit Youth Services Of Glenview/Northbrook

The annual affair gives North Shore residents an opportunity to get ahead on holiday shopping while also helping the youth organization. GLENVIEW, IL — With the holiday season right around the corner, it's a perfect time to get ahead on shopping. One opportunity to do so will be at "Girlfriends Boutique and Bites," the annual affair organized by Friends of Youth Services. Featuring clothing, accessories, jewelry, home decor and more from local artisans, the event is planned for 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Oct. 23, at The Renaissance Chicago Glenview Suites Hotel, 1400 Milwaukee Ave., Glenview. Proceeds from the event directly benefit Youth Services of Glenview/Northbrook, which provides mental health services to more than 1,800 local children along the Northern suburbs each year. The organization's sliding scale and scholarship program ensures no child is ever turned away from their critical services. Friends of Youth Services, a volunteer organization, raises awareness about and provides critical funding for Youth Services. "This is the perfect opportunity to get a jump on your holiday shopping," said Markie Condon, president of the Friends of Youth Services board. "Grab your friends and enjoy a few hours of sisterhood and shopping, all while helping the children of our community." Event tickets are $25 and include entry into the event, a welcome drink and light bites. Sponsorship opportunities are still available. Drawing tickets are also being sold for a chance to win four VIP passes to the Botanic Gardens Lightscape show, a golf lesson and weekend play at Willow Hill Golf Club, a pig roast for 50 of your closest friends and family in your own backyard, a private wine tasting in your home for 12, and more in-demand prizes.
