Netflix released a teaser trailer and new photos for Season 5 of Emily in Paris, or as the end of the clip reads, Emily in Paris Rome. “We start on a beautiful woman,” Marcello’s (Eugenio Franceschini) voiceover plays as Emily (Lily Collins) and her new Italian beau reunite. “She’s joined by a man. It’s clear they know each other, unable to keep their hands off each other, eventually sharing a kiss.” Flashes of Emily’s boss Sylvie Grateau (Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu) and bestie Mindy Chen (Ashley Park) play in a montage of parties, dance numbers and Emily exploring her new home. “Rome looks so good on you,” Mindy tells Emily, who replies, “Right?” Missing from the teaser are Lucas Bravo’s Chef Gabriel and Lucien Laviscount’s Alfie, who are both set to return. Emily’s other coworkers Luc (Bruno Gouery) and Julien (Samuel Arnold) appear at the end of the clip asking that if they are all in Rome, who is in Paris? “Now the head of Agence Grateau Rome, Emily faces professional and romantic challenges as she adapts to life in a new city. But just as everything falls into place, a work idea backfires, and the fallout cascades into heartbreak and career setbacks,” the Season 5 synopsis reads. “Seeking stability, Emilyleans into her French lifestyle, until a big secret threatens one of her closest relationships. Tackling conflict with honesty, Emily emerges with deeper connections, renewed clarity, and a readiness to embrace new possibilities.” The cast of Season 5 also includes returners William Abadie (Antoine Lambert), Eugenio Franceschini (Marcello), Thalia Besson (Genevieve), Paul Forman (Nico) and Arnaud Binard (Laurent G). Newcomers this season are Minnie Driver (Princess Jane), Bryan Greenberg (Jake), and Michèle Laroque (Yvette). Emily in paris is created, written and executive produced by Darren Stare.
