Former BBC chief content officer Charlotte Moore has made her first major hire since joining Left Bank Pictures, the Sony Pictures Television-owned powerhouse behind “The Crown.” Matt Jarvis — currently exec producer at Clerkenwell Films and recently a producer on Netflix’s Emmy-dominating mega-hit “Baby Reindeer” — is set to join the company as exec producer. He will also serve as acting creative director, covering Sian McWilliams’ maternity leave. Reporting to Moore, Jarvis with work with the creative team to develop the Left Bank slate, originate new material and develop projects to green light. He will form part of the senior leadership team. Current Left Bank productions include “This City Is Ours,” “Dear England,” “The Lady,” “Outlander: Blood of My Blood” and “Department Q.” “Matt is one of the most talented executives in the UK TV industry and has a track record of extraordinary successes,” said Moore, who shook the British TV industry earlier this year when she left the BBC to join Left Bank. “We are thrilled to have him join the team and look forward to the creative ambition and leadership he will bring during this exciting period.” Whilst at Clerkenwell Films Jarvis worked as the development executive on all five series on BAFTA-winning series “Misfits” before recently working as executive producer on “Cheaters” and Netflix’s global hit “Baby Reindeer,” which went on to triumph at the BAFTA, Golden Globes and Primetime Emmy Awards. “I loved my time at Clerkenwell Films. I’ve been extremely lucky to have had the opportunity to work and learn from some of the most talented people in the industry. Whilst I’m extremely proud of the shows produced during my time there it is the friendships with colleagues that I’ll treasure the most,” said Jarvis. “However, it is with great excitement that I’m now moving to Left Bank Pictures. Fuelled by Andy Harries’ creative vision and business instinct, Left Bank Pictures has established itself as one of the world’s leading producers of high-end television shows.” Jarvis added: “The opportunity to work directly with Charlotte Moore, one of the media industry’s top high-level executives, to help shape the creative future of Left Bank was too great to turn down and I can’t wait to get started.”
