On Monday, Nov. 3, Wolfe, 61, took to Instagram with a video as he and crew members kicked off production for the upcoming history show. 🎬 SIGN UP for Parade’s Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox 🎬 “My crew and I are in uncharted territory,” he captioned the update. “This is the first day of a new show we’re filming for @history called … History’s Greatest Picks.” In the post, Wolfe explained that the new series is “shot totally different” from American Pickers. “I’ll be in a studio setting introducing stories of epic artifacts cut to experts and reenactments that visually bring these incredible finds to life!” he explained. “There will be 8 stories per episode so it’s gonna move fast.” To conclude the behind-the-scenes sneak peek, Wolfe confessed, “I’m excited and nervous at the same time. Which is where I’m usually at on camera all the time! This will air in January and I’m stoked for y’all to see it.” For the accompanying video, Wolfe panned around the studio, ending the shot with a producer standing behind a camera, declaring, “This is what it takes to make Mike Wolfe look beautiful.” Oops! Wolfe’s American Pickers costar, Danielle Colby, will not join him on the new show. He added, “I’m looking forward to embarking on a new adventure, while continuing my lifelong passion of picking with this series. Viewers are in for a ride through the greatest finds of all time.”
