She reportedly made an escape plan from her marriage without losing custody of her daughter or the marital assets.Notably, police discovered a letter in which Elena Bardin allegedly wrote:“I know you say you’ll take care of him [the husband], but shouldn’t someone else do it to take the suspicion away from you?”Meanwhile, a press release from April by Kentucky State Police also stated that the teacher had allegedly touched the boy inappropriately, stating:“KSP Post 15 Detectives discovered evidence that Elena Bardin, 27 [now 28], of Columbia, solicited a male juvenile to kill her husband. Evidence also revealed that Ms. Bardin had subjected the juvenile to illegal sexual contact and provided him with sexually explicit images of herself.”According to People, Bardin’s conviction came after a two-day trial. While both her estranged husband, Michael Bardin and the alleged victim, the minor boy, took the stand to testify, the defendant declined to testify in her own defense. Her attorneys reportedly called no witnesses at trial.For the unversed, Elena Bardin is set to be sentenced on November 13, 2023. The jury reportedly recommended that the teacher be sentenced to four years for the sexual abuse charge and 10 years for the unlawful transaction charge.While the case is ongoing, it was also reported that Elena’s husband had filed for divorce one month after she was arrested.
