Head coach of the Nebraska Volleyball team, Dani Busboom Kelly, recently opened up about the much-anticipated match against the Wisconsin Badgers. The Nebraska Cornhuskers will compete against the Wisconsin Badgers tomorrow at the UW Field House in Madison, Wisconsin. In a press conference ahead of the upcoming game, the head coach discussed the match strategy for the game against the Badgers. Despite the Huskers having beaten the Badgers in all three games they competed last season, coach Kelly is not willing to take any chances.During the press conferences, when asked if the team is ready to go, Dani Busboom Kelly simply replied,"Feels like they are hungry and just excited to play in a crazy environment and, you know, take on another great player. I think it's always fun to um, go into a match, you know, hoping to perform at a high level and be able to slow somebody down. Um, but you know, I also think this team hasn't had a challenge like that in a while. So, you know, hopefully it doesn't come out that we've been complacent or that, you know, we need this." Out of these, the last 11 games have been clean sweeps, with the Nebraska Volleyball team not conceding a single set. When Rebekah Allick talked about Nebraska Volleyball's need for a National ChampionshipRebekah Allick in action at the 2024 NCAA Championships Semifinals [Image Source: Getty]Nebraska Volleyball player Rebekah Allick previously revealed the urge to reclaim the NCAA Championships. The Nebraska Cornhuskers haven't won an NCAA title in the last eight years. In a press conference before the upcoming game against the Wisconsin Badgers, Allick opened up about how the current streak of wins for the Nebraska Volleyball team has negligible value if the team cannot win the NCAA Championships. In her words, "It's an accolade, but it's nothing more than an Instagram post. It doesn't decide if you won the national championship or a conference title or anything. Becoming fixated on the outcome has never ever worked in anyone's favor. So just staying in the moment is huge. And a big takeaway that I have from John Cook, like just coaching me over the last few years, he almost used to come with a little bit of an attitude when we were ranked number one. He was like, 'So you think you guys can just coach this week because you're ranked number one?' "The Nebraska Volleyball team had last won the NCAA Championships in 2017. Since then, the team has come agonizingly close three times, finishing as runners-up in 2018, 2021, and 2023, respectively.
