I wouldn't be surprised - Max Holloway gets brutally honest about Paddy Pimblett's chances of becoming UFC champion

Max Holloway recently shared his thoughts on Paddy Pimblett potentially becoming a UFC champion one day. The former featherweight king didn't rule out the possibility despite Pimblett seemingly lacking experience.Pimblett is among the UFC's most prominent personalities today and is well-known for his engaging personality. The Liverpudlian's gift of the gab and his performances in the cage have made him a star in the MMA world, with many comparing his skills on the mic to those of Conor McGregor.'The Baddy' is currently on a nine-fight win streak and is coming off a statement third-round knockout victory over Michael Chandler at UFC 314 in April. Pimblett is now angling for a title shot against Ilia Topuria, with many doubting his chances against the lightweight king despite his resume. In a recent interview with Drake Riggs, Holloway shared his thoughts on Pimblett's chances of becoming a UFC champion and said:"It's fighting, at the end of the day, anything can happen. Someone could go in there and land a clean shot, or they could go in there and slip... MMA is the most volatile sport. It's not black and white... There are ideas you can have, 'Hey, you don't do this against this guy or you don't do that against this guy,' but things can go wrong in there because there are so many variables."He continued:"MMA is a weird sport. Experience does come into play, but never count anybody out in this sport. We’ve seen some wild things happen, and I wouldn’t be surprised."When Paddy Pimblett issued a bold prediction for potential Ilia Topuria title fightIn July, Paddy Pimblett shared his thoughts on how a potential fight against Ilia Topuria would play out. The Englishman was confident of getting a win and boldly predicted a finish. In an interview with Sky Sports, Pimblett referenced the iconic Conor McGregor vs. Jose Aldo fight and said:"I finish him. I finish him. I don't see him lasting five rounds with me. I genuinely believe I'd finish him. Keep having mad, mad dreams that I finish him in like the first 10 seconds like McGregor did Aldo. That wouldn't be good enough for him. I'd want to beat him up for a consistent couple of rounds, hit him with over like 70 elbows, disfigure him a little bit, and then finish him."
