Jon Jones recently shared his thoughts on wanting to fight Alex Pereira at the UFC White House event next year. Jones admitted that Pereira was "in the conversation" to be among the greatest fighters ever and lauded the reigning UFC light heavyweight champion for his respectful personality.The UFC White House event will go down next year as part of the grand America250 celebrations. While the card was initially scheduled for the Fourth of July, logistical issues forced the UFC to reschedule it to June.Jones is among the most notable names who have expressed a keen interest in competing on the White House card. The MMA legend made it clear that he's willing to unretire for this one-of-a-kind event and has called for a fight against Pereira. It's worth noting that the Brazilian has also expressed an interest in fighting Jones and has voiced his willingness to compete on the White House card.In an interview on the No Scripts Podcast, Jones explained why Pereira was the perfect opponent for him:"I'd like to fight Alex Pereira at the White House. I feel like he's incredibly respectful. I feel like he's a household name in America and in MMA. Everybody knows who he is. He's a champion. He's in the conversation to be one of the greatest fighters of all time. It would be a blockbuster event. I think the whole world would come out."He continued:"I beat many Brazilians over the course of my life. Either way that fight was to go, no one loses in that fight. It generates so many millions for the sport.
