He annoyed me on Twitter - Andrew Tate addresses becoming Misfits Boxing CEO, explains why he took KSI's company from him

Controversial social media star Andrew Tate is set to step into the boxing ring this December under the Misfits Boxing banner. Interestingly, 'King Cobra' now appears to have taken over as the promotion's CEO, a role previously held by YouTube star KSI.Earlier this Thursday, Tate posted an update on X announcing the development:"Misfits CEO. Combat Executive Officer."In a subsequent interview with Fred Beck, the former ISKA kickboxing world champion came clean on what prompted him to take over Misfits:"Well, KSI tweeted something that annoyed me about three years ago. So, long story short, I took his company from him, and considering that I'm the largest name on the planet, if I'm going to fight in an organization, why not fight in an organization I own a percentage of? That makes a lot of business sense. I've never met the guy; I hope he is okay. He annoyed me on Twitter, so I had to get involved in his company; that's just how it goes. That's how professionals act... You piss off a banker, before you know it, he owns your street."Check out Andrew Tate's comments below:'King Cobra' is set to fight reigning Misfits Boxing heavyweight champion Chase De Moor on December 20th in Dubai, in what he proclaims will be the largest show the company has ever produced.Tate holds a pro kickboxing record of 76-9-1. The 38-year-old was last seen in a second-round retirement win over Cosmin Lingurar at the KO Masters 8 in December 2020.Mams Taylor talks why Andrew Tate ousted KSI as the CEO of MisfitsWhile Andrew Tate cited a particular awry tweet from KSI as what prompted him to take over Misfits, per the promotions president, Mams Taylor, there is more to the decision than meets the eye. Before announcing Tate as the new CEO of the company, Taylor slammed KSI for sending Misfits on a downward spiral due to his continuing hesitancy to get back into the squared circle:"KSI said, 'Hey, I need a break from boxing.' The break was over; it was time for him to fight. He got sick, he hurt his hand. Fair enough. Then it happened a second time and almost sank the ship of Misfits Boxing. And since then, it's been a tweet here, a story there. That's it. He is the CEO?... It's got to be a two-way street when you have a partnership, and this is a one-way street, and this street is going down... I had a board meeting earlier this morning. And KSI, you are no longer the CEO of Misfits Boxing, you've been relinquished of your duties... We need a new CEO, a CEO who is going to dedicate their life to this brand, a CEO who is going to fight for this brand, in the ring, out [of] the ring. [Cuts to Tate's announcement speech]"
