Nebraska Volleyball player Virginia Adriano recently opened up about her association with the team, as well as the differences in terms of travel. Adriano had accompanied Andi Jackson for the pre-match press conference. For the uninititaed, Virginia Adriano is an Italian volleyball player who has joined the Nebraska Cornhuskers for this season. The 21-year-old opposite hitter revealed her thoughts on joining the Nebraska Volleyball team, as well as taking chartered flights for the volleyball games in USA. Adriano mentioned about the difference between traveling back home and traveling in the USA. she said, "Like where we go, distances, buses all that, way different. We don't travel with flights, we don't take flights. It's way bigger. It's there's much more land to cross to go from everywhere and um I was not used to that. It's very cool to be able to do that, fly every time, fly charter and having those uh, if I can say privileges.." [11:35 onwards] Virginia Adriano previously represented the Bergamo team in Serie A1, which is Italy's top professional volleyball league. She also represented her country, Italy, on the international stage. In 2022, Adriano was a part of the Italian team that clinched the gold medal at the European Championships. The very next year, Adriano led the team to a silver medal at the U21 World Championships. She also contributed to the Italian team’s title victory at the 2024 European Championships.
