Don't disrespect me like that - Francis Ngannou gets brutally honest about Jake Paul's team approaching him to potentially replace Gervonta Davis

Francis Ngannou has made it clear he wants no part in any talk surrounding a potential clash against Jake Paul. The former UFC heavyweight champion also called out Paul’s camp for suggesting he step in to replace Gervonta Davis. The situation began after reports surfaced that Davis could be ruled out of his upcoming boxing match with Paul due to a restraining order and a civil lawsuit filed in Florida. That uncertainty led to rumors about potential replacements, and Ngannou’s name quickly entered the mix.Ngannou shut down those rumours immediately, as the matchup made no competitive or professional sense. He pointed to the vast size difference between himself and Davis. Speaking in an interview with TMZ Sports, Ngannou said:“No. There’s no such thing happening. How can they go from Gervonta Davis to Francis Ngannou? I mean, Gervonta Davis is a fantastic boxer but, he’s a one-shot knockout artist but come on, the weight difference and everything, it makes no sense. Gervonta Davis, you count and say, okay, the size difference, he can level up. But at this point, for me, it makes no sense.”He added:“He said, ‘Yeah, Jake Paul, he’s fighting, and I’m like, ‘No bro, come on. Don’t disrespect me like that. They even come out after and say, ‘What if the numbers are good?’ He sends out some number, and I’m like, ‘It’s not about the number. If it was about the number, we could have started up.’ I’m just not interested, it makes no sense for me. It’s not what I’m looking at right now.”Michael Bisping shuts down the idea of Jake Paul fighting Francis NgannouMichael Bisping has brushed off talk of Jake Paul facing Francis Ngannou by calling the matchup unrealistic. With Gervonta Davis in a limbo, Paul’s team has reportedly explored other opponents, including Ryan Garcia, Terence Crawford, Nate Diaz, and Ngannou.Bisping believes there’s no real chance of Paul taking on a heavyweight like Ngannou. Speaking on his YouTube channel, Bisping said:"To go from fighting Gervonta Davis to now boxing Francis Ngannou... Listen, if Jake Paul does it, fair play. But I just call number one bullsh*t on this, brother, because I don't see this happening. I just don't believe it. I don't believe it at all," Bisping added before noting that he could see Paul go up against Nate Diaz much more than Ngannou... I don't know. Maybe [Paul] would [fight Ngannou], just for the clout. Because in many ways, it would be an admirable thing to do. And it would be Jake Paul taking on somebody bigger, with more experience."Check out Michael Bisping's comments below (1:30)
