Head coach of the Nebraska Volleyball team, Dani Busboom Kelly, recently revealed the strategy behind overcoming her team’s shortcomings. The Nebraska Volleyball team defeated the Michigan State Spartans without losing a single set throughout the game for the 11th consecutive occasion.Interestingly, this is also Nebraska Volleyball's second consecutive victory against the Michigan State Spartans in the current season. The two teams had previously met at the Breslin Center in East Lansing, Michigan, on October 17, where the Nebraska Cornhuskers defeated the Michigan State Spartans in straight sets by 3-0.Dani Busboom Kelly was asked by a reporter what the team's approach would be if they served short. The head coach replied,"What? Just disrupt a pattern, or um, get somebody on the ground. So, the the goal is just to just disrupt their offense. You know, their middles were pretty good, so try to make it tougher to get them the ball." [3:40 onwards]The Nebraska Volleyball team will rest for a while before turning up at UW Field House in Madison on October 31. The Nebraska Volleyball team have won 20 consecutive games in the current season.In an interview with the Sports Illustrated website, the head coach mentioned,“Nebraska has always been great defensively and sometimes hasn’t put up offensive numbers. This year, we’re really putting up really high offensive numbers as well. It’s just the attention to detail and the awareness that we’re going to be great on both sides. We’re not going to rely on one or the other to win games.”In another interview with the Hail Varsity in early October, Dani Busboom Kelly reflected on the massive crowd support received by the Nebraska Cornhuskers during their game against the defending champions, the Penn State Nittany Lions."That was pretty crazy. So, I was not expecting. Both places just felt like the many home games. You know Penn State obviously has a lot of fans, but we had tons of fans there, and they are like lining our bus when we are leaving, which is really awesome and just makes you feel kind of like a rockstar, and Rutgers almost felt more fun than being home because it's players like fans that never get to see us," Kelly said.
