Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Dillon Gabriel starred in a fun moment during Sunday's duel against the New York Jets. Gabriel and Co. couldn't move past Justin Fields and the Jets, who left MetLife Stadium with a 27-20 victory. FOX Sports: NFL's X account shared a picture of Gabriel picking up a phone with 1:57 left in the fourth quarter.Plenty of fans reacted to the picture, joking about the meaning behind it. Additionally, he carried the ball five times for a 54-yard gain. The coach revealed that he isn't making any changes at quarterback and he's sticking with Dillon Gabriel as his starter."We’re gonna stick with Dillon. Obviously this is a young player," Stefanski said, via Tony Grossi. "We have to play better as an offense."The Browns dropped to 2-7 after their loss to the Jets. Cleveland has had a championship-level defense, but a mediocre offense this season. Joe Flacco wasn't the answer they needed. Gabriel has failed to prove his value, but Shedeur Sanders still awaits an opportunity to showcase his talents.They will return to the field next Sunday, in a duel against the Kansas City Chiefs. Gabriel will start again, but it remains to be seen if he will after that matchup.
