Danielle Collins cheekily responded to a fan who slid into her DMs with an inappropriate comment after she stated that emotional availability isn’t the reason for being single, but one’s forehand is. Collins had postponed her retirement plans to play in the 2025 season. Danielle Collins had forged a successful tennis career, reaching a career-high of No. 7 in singles. She was an Australian Open finalist in 2022 and won the Miami Open title in 2024, besides three more singles titles. The American announced in 2024 that it would be her last season, but later that year, she expressed her wish to go for another year. Dealing with a herniated disc in her back and chronic health issues like Rheumatoid Arthritis and Endometriosis, Collins last competed at the US Open this year, where she lost to Jaqueline Cristian in straight sets. Since then, she hasn't been seen in action on the court, but has been a mainstay on social media. I mean, I definitely think it would be a little bit of a transition switching over from tennis to pickleball, and I certainly would need a coach and some guidance to kind of up my game, but yeah, it would be so cool to go out there and try to compete," she said.
